Nearly Eight Decades

Since 1947, Big Dipper has been more than an ice cream shop — it's been a Seymour tradition. What started as a small family venture on South Main Street has grown into a beloved community institution, where three generations of neighbors have shared their favorite sweet moments.

We still make our ice cream the old-fashioned way: small batches, quality ingredients, and a whole lot of love. Whether you're craving a classic double scoop in a waffle cone, a frosty shake, or one of our seasonal specials, we promise the same warmth and welcome we've offered since day one.
